The Idea
The Y.L. Lin Hung Tai Education Foundation set out to create a new kind of talent development program for socially minded builders who will lead Taiwan’s impact sector thrive for decades to come.
Dots Global was engaged as a strategic advisor to help turn that ambition into a sustainable, globally connected program.
The Impact
The result was a cross-border initiative built through a partnership among the Y.L. Lin Hung Tai Education Foundation, National Taiwan University, and Boston-based College for Social Innovation.
From 2024 to 2026, the program enabled 32 Taiwanese students to complete full-time internships in Boston, complemented by immersive learning across Harvard, MIT, and Boston’s social impact ecosystem.
The experience broadened their understanding of impact leadership and equipped them with the confidence and capabilities to bring new perspectives and practices back to Taiwan.

Craft the Innovation
We began by helping the Y.L. Lin Hung Tai Education Foundation clarifies its vision, value proposition, and path toward.
Using a human-centered design approach, we translated stakeholder insights into a focused, actionable program strategy.
Build the Venture
With the strategy in place, we helped turn the concept into an actionable program model.
A critical success factor at this stage was identifying and engaging College for Social Innovation as the right U.S. partner — bringing the expertise, network, and infrastructure needed to translate the vision into a transnational program connecting Taiwan and Boston.
Develop the Ecosystem
As the program launched and grew, we continued to build bridges for Taiwan fellows across the Greater Boston impact ecosystem.
Meanwhile, we continue to support the program’s evolution — helping strengthen its network, refine the experience, and explore how the model can grow sustainably over time.
